David Thulman
David Thulman, is a PhD candidate in Anthropology, Florida State University, 2006. He received his J.D. from George Washington University 1982, his B.A. Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, 1988. In addition to his studies in archaeology, David is a legal consultant to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. David is writing the results of a study to perceive Paleoindian social structure in Florida by means of detailed study of projectile point morphology as his dissertation research. His research interests focuses on social and economic issues, typologies, and general early New World archaeology. Thulman is presently president of the local archaeology society and past vice president of the Florida Paleontology Society.

 

Lynette Norr
Lynette Norr holds a 1991 Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a 2004 J.D. from The Florida State University College of Law. Lynette’s archaeological research focused on the health and subsistence patterns of tropical coastal populations. She has conducted archaeological and paleodietary research in the Eastern US and in Central and South America. Lynette is the recipient of the 1992 Society for American Archaeology Dissertation Prize for her dissertation “Nutritional Consequences of Prehistoric Subsistence Patterns in Lower Central America.” Lynette has since served on the Society’s Dissertation Prize Committee and has been an advisor to the Committee on the Americas. Lynette is currently a Senior Attorney for the State of Florida, serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Government Bar Association, and is an active member of the American Inns of Court.

 

Michael K. Faught
Michael K. Faught is a Senior Archaeologist with Panamerican Consultants, Inc., Maritime Division. Michael holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Arizona, Tucson, he has worked on and directed terrestrial archaeology projects in the desert Southwest, with the University of Arizona, Desert Archaeology, and Old Pueblo Archaeology, and underwater archaeology in Florida, New York, Massachusetts, Georgia, and Texas. M. Camila Tobón
Camila Tobón received her Masters in Maritime archaeology from St. Andrews Scotland. She has worked as an archaeologist with the Archeological and Historical Conservancy, Miami, FL, January - June 2001. and as an archaeologist with the Program in Underwater Archaeology, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL, June 2001 - August 2002. Camila received her JD in May of 2005 from University of Miami, and passed the Florida BAR exam in August of 2005. She currently holds position of Attorney for Shook, Hardy and Bacon, LLP

 

Ryan Pendleton
Ryan L. Pendleton received his M.A. in Anthropology from Florida State University in 2003 and his B.A. in Anthropology from University of Florida in 1996. As a graduate student, Ryan served as the Archaeological and Ethnographic Collections Manager at the Department of Anthropology, Florida State University. From 2000 to 2003, Ryan was the Logistics Manager for the Program in Underwater Archaeology at Florida State University, helping manage the PaleoAucilla Prehistory Project, the Dog Island Shipwreck Survey, and other smaller underwater archaeological operations. His primary research interests include Native American linguistics and Paleoindian studies. Currently Ryan is the President of R.L. Pendleton & Associates, Inc., a commercial real estate consulting firm based in South Florida.
