The challenge of incorporating the AR CO-OP and obtaining 51-C3 status with the IRS, was executed by David Thulman, with help from Drs Lynette Norr and Michael Faught . The intent was to develop a not for profit corporation that could enable research and education projects about the past, whether it be on land or underwater, creating ways of pulling together research operations to answer a wide range of questions, and to help students conduct research about the past.
Camila Tobon and Ryan Pendleton were consulted during the development of the corporation and invited to be board members to facilitate expansion of the AR CO-OP creative and funding base.
